Ga-Olé Disks
Pokemon Ga-Olé is an arcade game developped by Takara Tomy ARTS and Marvelous. It launched in Japan on July 2016, and later in Taiwan and Mainland China in 2020. This game features 2vs2 battles in a variety of environments. Players can purchase disks by catching or evolving Pokemon. When a Pokemon is caught, it is printed on the disk. The disks can be inserted in slots during gameplay. The PokeBall icon changes according to which ball the player uses to catch the Pokemon in the game, so a same disk can have several variants. Disk data is located in the QR code, the machine reads them. These QR codes can also be used with the QR scanner function of Alola games to add the Pokemon on the disk's data to the Pokedex, providing the doubles of points a normal scan would. Also, there were Ga-Olé Passes that allows players to record their game activity and benefit from other advantages. Gigalith and its family appeared in two Ga-Olé sets.
